Private tours are available year-round, any day of the week, and are available between 10:30AM-4:30PM Spring/Summer and 10:30AM-3:30PM Fall/Winter. All tours are approximently 2 ½ hours and 2 miles.

Please note that Old Port Historic Tours does not offer public tours. All tours are exclusively private for extra personalized attention, customization of your itinerary, flexible pacing, and the exclusivity of touring with your chosen companions.
All tours are led by the founder and Tour Guide of Old Port Historic Tours, Leigh Rush Olson. Leigh holds a BA in History from CUNY Brooklyn College, is a certified Portland History Docent, served two appointed terms as DAR Maine State American History Chairwoman, and currently volunteers as the founder and administrator of the West Kennebunk Neighborhood Watch Group where she is a resident of the Town of Kennebunk, Maine - you're in great hands!

Prices below apply to people over 6 years of age
Up to 5 people - $250 total
6 to 15 people (max) - $45 per person
Children 6 and under are free
All tours are limited to 15 people (including children). This is to ensure safety and comfortable space.
Where to meet: 1 Monument Way in downtown Portland in front of Longfellow Books - conveniently located directly next to One City Center Parking Garage and Monument Square.
Please note this tour might require walking on possible uneven, icy, or snow covered, cobblestone/Belgium block surfaces. Please wear comfortable and sturdy walking shoes regardless of the season.
Cancellation policy - Private tour refunds will be given with at least 24 hours written notice by emailing leigholson@oldporthistorictours.com and you're all set. It's very easy to cancel and you will get a full refund that same day. In the event of rain during our tour, ponchos will be provided at no charge. One size fits most adults. Most of the time, however, we will know if there is rain coming the day before the tour, so you can feel comfort knowing that you're not stuck out in the rain and will get a full refund.
